RIT Roorkee present ten Road Safety Barricades to Buggawala Police station

As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) we at RIT Roorkee took an initiative to present ten Road Safety Barricades to Buggawala Police station (District Haridwar).
Constantly increasing intensity of road traffic and the allowed speed limits seem to impose stronger requirements on road infrastructure and use of road safety systems.
One of the ways to improve road safety is the use of road restraint systems. Road safety barricades allow not only reducing the number of road traffic accidents, but also lowering the severity of accidents.
These barricades are used by traffic police to prevent vehicle entry to restricted areas and also to lower the speed of vehicles.
These barricades were presented to Circle Officer Mr. Rawat and SHO of police station Mr. P.D. Bhatt by the students of RIT Roorkee under the guidance of Mr. Harshit Gautam and Mr. Ankur Saini. This was a step taken by the management trustees and director of the institute Prof. (Dr.) Parag Jain to make people aware about the road safety.
