RIT in collaboration with Marico under ICT Academy inaugurated Centre for Women Empowerment

RIT in collaboration with Marico under ICT Academy inaugurated Centre for Women Empowerment on Novemeber 19, 2021. The inauguration was done by Mr. B. Raghava Srinivasan, Head – Corporate & Government Initiatives, Mr. Kamlesh Singh, State Head – Academic Operations, Mr. Aaditya Singh, Relationship Manager – Academic Operations and Mr. Anand Babu from ICT Academy in presence of Director General Dr. M.J.Nigam, Director Dr. Parag Jain, HoDs and Deans of various Departments.

The programme started with the welcome note at 11am. Ms. Garima Chandna welcomed all the dignitaries. After the lamp lighting ceremony Dr. Nigam addressed the students and spoke about various opportunities that are available to girls for scaling up new heights. Mr. Raghav Srinivasan gave a detailed description of the role of trainings and internships that promotes students for better prospects. Mr. Kamlesh Kumar gave a stress on the importance of power and knowledge for upliftment in life. Dr. Parag Jain addressed the students by focusing on the career and understanding various opportunities and internship assistance available at RIT. Dr. Aruna Bhat talked about women empowerment and its importance in present scenario. Vote of Thanks was given by Garima Chandna and a token of appreciation was presented to the guests. The Centre of Excellence will train 80 girl students on employability skills, provide certification, and facilitate placements for certified students on average package of 4.5 lacs. The inauguration of Centre for Women Empowerment was done by cutting ribbon and group photographs were taken. Some students also shared their expectations from the training programme. The programme ended at 1pm.
