The Department of Electronic and Communication Engineering, organized one day industrial visit at Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST), Dehradun on 1, Jan,2022 for B.Tech 2nd year ECE students. The number of students visited the plant are 18 with a long two faculty members Mr. Rishabh Singhal & Dr. Sandhya Prajapti.
Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology is an autonomous body of the Government of Uttarakhand, Department of Information & Science Technology. UCOST started its activities from last quarter of year 2005, However it was registered under the Registration of Society.
The apex body of the Council is the General Body which is chaired by the Hon’ble Chief Secretary. The day-to-day business is held by the Director General. The Secretary of the department is the chairman of its executive committee. The Council plays a catalytic role for the promotion of S&T in the state and supplement /complements the developmental programs of the state in different sectors. The overall in charge of the Council is the Director General.
Outcome of the visit:
UCOST is the best department in the field of science and technology, from where we collect lots of latest information regarding science and research and time to time activity on various issues. The students are beneficial with various concepts, like Himalayans and technology and also learn physics concepts for better understanding. It was a good experience, which has provided good exposure to students and teachers with industrial visit.
