RIT Roorkee officially signed an MoU with Riga Technical University regarding the Students/Faculty Exchange Program, Collaborative Research Activity and Internship opportunities for students in RIT Campus Roorkee.
𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝟏𝟖𝟔𝟐, Riga Technical University is a prestigious University in Europe, having the historical significance of 160 years old heritage and a 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲.
𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐚 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐯𝐢𝐚 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐯𝐢𝐚 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐐𝐒 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭.
On this occasion, an Expert Session on “𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧” was held for all the students of RIT Roorkee. The eminent speaker Prof Jurgis Porins, Dean of Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, Riga Technical University (RTU), Riga delivered the talk with a major focus on “Optical frequency comb generator based on a whispering gallery mode Micro-Resonator for Telecommunications System”.
The event was concluded with the exchange of documents, signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), mutual exchange of mementos, conventional tokens of greetings and Bon Voyage to the visitors.
