Tehri Dam is a Hydro Electric Power plant under THDC on the Bhagirathi River at Tehri, Uttarakhand. The Students observed the following:
- Tehri Dam is the highest Dam in India and one of the highest in the world.
- Total power producing capacity is 1000 MW.
- Francis Turbine is used to generate the electricity.
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic system is used to open and close the supply of water into the turbine
