The students of B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering 2nd and 3rd year visited the Hero Honda Automobile bike and scooter manufacturing plant namely Hero Motocorp Ltd., Haridwar on dated Feb 22, 2020 along with Faculty Mr. Dinesh D. Gahlot and Rahul Kumar. This company is largest two wheeler manufacturer in the world. Students observed the following:
- Students visited the paint shop where fuel tanks were being painted using various process like spray painting using robots
- Students learnt about the manufacturing of engine as well as testing of leak proof of fuel tanks
- Students visited the assembly line on which Splendor+ bike was being assembled in assembly shop. The conveyor belt is used to assemble all parts from initial to final stage and each stage was equipped with robots
The visit was highly informative and gave an impetus to their practical knowledge.
