The School of Allied Health Science is approved by Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal (HNB) university and has courses in Medical Laboratory Technology and Optometry. Both are undergraduate programs (B.Sc) and a duration of 3 years.
The main focus of our paramedical department and its faculties is providing better knowledge and practice in the area of medical development, health technology, and Research work.

Course of B.Sc in Medical Laboratory Technology

RIT offers the course for Medical Laboratory Technology of 3 years for which the student has to pass class 12th from a recognized institution or equivalent certificate. Besides that, the candidate must have science as a subject with Biology, Chemistry, physics as their stream.
Our college makes use of the latest and modern technologies to train the students with the types of equipment and the way they are used correctly for the Medical Technology. There is a huge contribution of the medical professionals in the process of advancement and progress of our country. Our college wants to give the best manpower to the Medical Technology Industries so that our nation along with the people can face an expedition towards a better India.
The procedure and practice that is required in the medical laboratory profession along with the skills and usability are all planted in pedagogy. They are trained in such a manner , later it reflects the behavioral skills of a medical professional. The practices include laboratories of Biology, Anatomy, and Clinical Biochemistry RIT is providing.

Course of B.Sc in Optometry

The duty of an Optometrist is one who deals with the diagnosis, examination, treatment, and also the management of the disease or the discomfort related to the optical system.
Similarly like Medical Laboratory technology, Optometry is also a 3-year course and the minimum criteria for this course is the candidate must have passed (10+2) or equivalent with science as a subject.
Basically, you can say that this is a health care professional dealing with eye care with the usage of equipments like spectacles, lens. They give it to the patients to improve the quality of the vision and removing the hurdles.
Nowadays, the demands of this profession are high in our country. A large number of optometrist has been recruited in both private and public sectors. As we all know, this course and profession are not very popularly practiced.
