Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is inspired by the vision of transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging knowledge institutions to help build the architecture of an Inclusive India. Its mission is conceptualized as a movement to enable processes that connect institutes of higher education with local communities to address the developmental challenges of rural India through participatory processes and appropriate technologies for accelerating sustainable growth. In line with the above mission of UBA, we at Roorkee Institute of Technology, Roorkee took an initiative as a CSR promoter to Distribute Stationery (Note books of Hindi, English & Maths, Pen, Pencil, Eraser, and Sharpener) to the students of Grade 1st to 5th at Government Primary School, Village Bhalaswa Gaj, Block Bhagwanpur (Dist. Haridwar, U.K State) dated May 26, 2022.
The initiative was taken with the cooperation from the headmaster of school, Mr. Sushil Kumar and Mr. Amit Kumar Gupta (teacher). Under the umbrella of Right to Education for every child, RIT took an initiative to distribute stationery items to the students. It was a happy moment for the school authorities as well as the children of school. The headmaster Mr. Sushil Kumar expressed his joy and thanked RIT Management and Director Dr. Parag Jain to take up such an initiative. Unnat Bharat Team of RIT under the guidance of Mr. Munendra Singh Chauhan and Mr. Harshit Gautam took up this task of distributing the stationery items in the school.
