    Department Achievements

    Student Awards/Achievements
    • The first-year students were shortlisted for the grand finale of Smart India Hackathon 2019.
    • Several first-year students have been awarded certificates from IIT Bombay for their proficiency in the C and Python languages.
    • Swapnil Suman has been selected for Toycathon 2021.

It is a great honor to announce that Swapnil Suman, a B.Tech 1st-year student (CSE), has had one of his projects, namely Eco Deco, selected for the grand finale of Toycathon 2021. Toycathon is an inter-ministerial initiative organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, with support from various ministries including the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Textiles, and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Currently, the toy market in India is valued at around 1.5 billion USD, with a significant portion being dominated by imported toys. Furthermore, many of these toys fail to represent Indian heritage, civilization, and value systems. Toycathon 2021 provides a unique opportunity for students, teachers, start-ups, and toy experts/professionals in India to submit their innovative toy/game concepts and compete for a chance to win prizes worth Rs. 50 lakhs.
