Cloth Distribution Drive by NSS Volunteers

“Service to mankind is service to God” This noble thought of Swami Vivekananda inspires everybody to contribute towards the wellbeing of the world.

With this thought NSS Unit of Roorkee Institute of Technology organized “Cloth Distribution Drive” at Kusht Ashram, Roorkee on the occasion of ‘Sadbhavna Diwas’ dated 20th August, 2022.

Cloth is one of the three basic needs of human beings. But there are people in this world who don’t have this essential need of existence. NSS volunteers had launched a campaign to collect the clothes which were old, but in good condition from the students of Roorkee Institute of Technology. The clothes collected during the campaign were distributed among the leprosy patients of Kusht Ashram, Roorkee.

The main objective behind cloth distribution was to provide the cloths to the needy people and it became a reason for someone’s fathomless happiness that could put them to fair use. RIT, Roorkee through its NSS unit works to ensure health and improve the quality of life of poor and downtrodden.

This activity was carried under the supervision of NSS Program Officer Mr. Harshit Gautam.
